Company Profile Vanguard Consumer Staples ETF is an open-end management investment company. The Fund seeks to track the performance of the MSCI US Investable Market Consumer Staples Index (the Index), an index of stocks of large, medium, and small United States-based companies in the consumer staples sector, as classified under the Global Industry Classification Standard (GICS). The GICS includes manufacturers and distributors of food, beverages, and tobacco, as well as producers of nondurable household goods and personal products. It also includes food and drug retailing companies, as well as hypermarkets and consumer supercenters. As of Aug 31 2013, Co.'s portfolio totalled $1,656,504,000.
