Company Profile Giant Group is involved in the double drive-thru hamburger restaurant business through its equity investment in Checkers Drive-In Restaurants, Inc. ("Checkers"). Co. develops, produces, owns, operates, and franchises quick service "double drive-thru" restaurants under two brand names "Checkers(r)" and "Rally's Hamburgers(r)". The double drive-thru concept allows Checkers(r) and Rally's Hamburgers(r) to capitalize on the fact that approx. 50% of all quick-service food business is drive-thru. As of Dec 30 2002, Checkers and its franchisees own 398 Checkers restaurants operating primarily in the Southeastern U.S. and 386 Rally's restaurants operating primarily in the Midwestern U.S.
